The Tartan 30 is an ideal used boat choice for a small family looking to sail offshore in varying sea conditions or simply wanting to have fun racing around the buoys with line-honors confidence. This small cruiser is well-built, easy to handle, and relatively economical to maintain.

As written in an article by longtime sailor Tom Dove in Offshore Magazine... Cruise a little, race a little, maybe even cross an ocean or two...The Tartan 30 will let you do it all at a very reasonable cost. This legendary Sparkman & Stephens design is considered to be one of the most "tried-and-true" production racers/cruisers ever built. Powered by the forever-reliable 3GM30F 30HP diesel engine, The Tartan 30 is revered by nearly all experienced sailors. Besides the daunting expertise of her prominent yacht designers, the Tartan 30 meets the general requirements of a very ocean-capable cruiser with excellent sailing qualities. She looks good, sails very sweet, and was built to Tartan's high-quality rugged standards.

This Tartan 30 is a good old boat, one of the all-time classic hulls. A newer engine and well-kept interior set this aside from the pack. Great for the cruiser or racer, this is one of the sweetest sailing 30's ever designed.
